LoadwrightFreight Invoice Auditing

Fees

You pay a share of what we recover, and nothing otherwise

No retainer, no subscription, no per-invoice charge, and no cost for the review itself. If we find nothing, you pay nothing and keep written confirmation that your billing is clean.

30%

Our fee

Of money actually recovered. Invoiced only once the credit or refund has landed with you — not when a claim is lodged, and not when one is approved.

70%

Stays with you

Plus the full ongoing saving wherever a rate correction stops an error recurring. We do not charge anything on future savings.

$0

If we find nothing

No fee, no minimum, no cancellation charge. You keep an independent confirmation that your freight billing is clean.

What that means in practice

On a batch where we identify and recover $10,000, you keep $7,000 and we invoice $3,000 after the money reaches you. If we identify $10,000 and the carrier ultimately pays $4,000, our fee is $1,200 — we are paid on recovery, not on findings.

If a wrong rate on a carrier's table was also costing you $800 a month going forward, correcting it saves roughly $9,600 over the following year. We charge nothing on that, and in most engagements it ends up being worth more than the backward-looking recovery.

No lock-in

There is no term, no notice period and no obligation to send a second batch. Send one month, see what comes back, and decide from there.

What is never charged for

  • The initial review of your invoices
  • The findings report
  • Dispute packs prepared for your carriers
  • Claims that are lodged but not paid
  • Findings you decide not to pursue
  • Ongoing savings from corrected rates
  • Advice on preventing a repeat error

First clients

Loadwright is taking on a small number of first clients at no charge at all while building references. If that is you, the audit runs exactly as described on this site and you keep 100% of anything recovered.

What we ask in return is straightforward: permission to refer to the work, and honest feedback on what was useful and what was not. If the audit finds nothing, we would still like to know the process was worth your ten minutes.

Why not just have someone check them?

A fair question, and for a handful of invoices a month the answer is that you should. At thousands of charge lines it stops being realistic, for reasons that have nothing to do with how good your people are.

What it costs Nothing unless money comes back. 30% of recoveries only. Salary, whether or not anything is found that month. Typically a contingency fee plus minimum volumes or a retainer.
Coverage Every line, every check, every batch. Nothing is sampled. Realistically spot-checks. Nobody compares thousands of lines to a contract by hand. Comprehensive, usually with a volume threshold to qualify.
When it slips Runs the same regardless of how busy your month is. First thing dropped when the warehouse gets busy — which is when errors spike. Consistent, on their processing schedule.
Independence No relationship with your carriers. Nothing to protect. Often the same person who negotiated the rates or approves the invoices. Independent, though frequently also selling freight services.
Getting started Ten minutes. One month of invoices. No contract to sign first. Training, a process to design, and the tooling to compare rates. Onboarding, systems integration, a term agreement.
Who does the work One named person you deal with directly. Someone who has a day job as well. A processing team, often offshore. You are one account of many.
If nothing is found You pay nothing and get written confirmation your billing is clean. You have paid for the time either way. Depends on the agreement; minimums may still apply.

The honest summary: a person can check whether an invoice adds up. What a person cannot realistically do is check every charge on every consignment against a contract they would have to re-read each time, month after month, while also doing their actual job.

Nothing to lose by finding out

The worst outcome is confirmation that your carriers are billing you correctly.
